Darke Wonders

Bizarre Atifacts and Curious Oddities

Darke Parlour is not your run-of-the-mill haunt. This is a unique interactive ghost hunt and seance experience.  It takes place in a small cabin isolated in the woods in a small, area park.  Generally this area is closed to the public but the gates will be thrown open during the last weekend in October 2010.  This year Darke Parlour will present something VERY unique.  A collection of artifacts and items of strange origin, all centered around Aaron Darke.  Aaron Darke arrived in the Indiana/Ohio region in 1880 and was the object of curiosity and fear. After the sudden death of his business partner, he married the widow and adopted the eight year old daughter of his former associate. Mysteries have long surrounded this man due to the odd deaths and disappearances centered around this man's life.  Can you find out what happened?   Do you believe? If not, why not? Bring your loved ones and your fears and put them to the test. Every experience is different because only YOU can forge a connection to the past.

In 2010, we are associated with the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department  and this year they present Darke  Wonders, a travelling-show/collection of one-of-a-kind weirdness.  Anthony, a local Afterlife Archeologist, has gathered from all over the country, strange and unusual items relating to Aaron Darke, a notorious man who lived in the Indiana/Ohio region in the 1800s.  Mr. Darke is known for this strange habits, unscrupulous business dealings and for his suspected involvment in several area disappearances, murders and "unusual" events.

Visitors to the Darke Wonders Pavillion will have a chance to see, touch and examine some of the artifacts while testing their own powers of observation as well as their ability to connect to any latent mental, psychological or spiritual "gifts" they may have.  If events are favorable, they may evern get the chance to attempt to call up the spirit of a dearly-departed soul.

This is four views of the same digital photo taken of the Darke Parlour, a haunted attraction in a local cemetary chapel at about noon on August 28, 2007.  After several enlargements I thought I detected something in the left-hand window on the left side of the chapel.  This is one of two windows which open onto the stairway leading to the organ loft.  After an additional enlargment I clearly saw something in the window.  Additional enlargments were so pixilated that no further details can be seen.  Subsequent visits to photograph the site under similar conditions resulted in no images in the window.
